Bruce L. Smith

Bruce L. Smith earned his M.Ed. at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is currently on staff at the Alpine Valley School in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Mr. Smith is the author of When My Dad Was Little, a children's book that highlights a young boy's realization that while technology has changed, his father, aunt and grandparents were once a nuclear family much like his own.

Mr. Smith is also the author of Song of Life, an allegory about a bird who learns that optimism and a positive attitude can triumph over life’s disappointments.  Currently he is writing the Young Adult chapter book, Sudbury Suzy’s Great Escape.

When not writing or working with children, he enjoys singing, working on his chess game, and studying Spanish and Zen.
